BioI'm a 20 year old student/retail manager who grew up in the frozen tundra (otherwise known as Buffalo). I'm a business major at ECC, but I would like to transfer to Buff State for my bachelors in fashion merchandising. I would love to someday be a fashion buyer for an upscale department store/boutique, because I think it would be fantastic to bring up-and-coming trends straight off the runway and into the stores. For right now I work at Sears as their Softlines (apparel and home fashions) manager.
When it comes to hobbies, nothing compares to music. I love anything and everything you can do with music: write it, listen to it, sing it, dance to it; you name it, I love it. I've gotten amazing opportunities to sing all over the USA, especially New York City and Disney World.Being on stage is awesome, but the best time I've ever had was writing and directing my own shows. I would love to do some more of that in college, but unfortunately, work tends to take up my time.
Other than that, I love reading. My favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk (you may know him as the author of Fight Club, but my recommendations are Choke and Invisible Monsters). Other favorites of mine are Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and of course my poetry anthologies comprised mostly of Shakespearean sonnets that I accidentally accumulated from the SHA library...whoops... :)
